VHB worked closely with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and RIAC to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the T.F. Green Airport improvements program, including safety improvements, a runway extension, and demolition of an historic hangar. For almost two decades, RIAC has relied on VHB to provide environmental permitting, stormwater management, and wetlands mitigation services. The VHB team used a due diligence approach to develop the Airport Drainage Master Plan for T.F. Green Airport; this plan evaluated the accuracy of previously collected data and created an illustrative Geographic Information System (GIS) database of the findings. Our work with RIAC also provides engineering and permitting services to facilitate the reconstruction of Runway 16-34, and strong support to update the Airport’s Master Plan. We provide strategic on-call planning and environmental services to RIAC for all its airports.
