Creative Village

The Creative Village Central Park in Downtown Orlando is the focal point of the City west of I-4. A preeminent example of urban placemaking, this public space defines the brand image and vision of Creative Village while reflecting the needs of Downtown UCF students, residents, employees and visitors. VHB was the lead planner, urban designer, and landscape architect for the largest urban redevelopment in Central Florida, providing the City of Orlando with full design services from concept through construction documents and permitting. This public/private partnership included an urban master plan, master streetscape plan, and an extensive public gathering space, including a central park and an elevated pedestrian bridge park. Creative Village is a mixed-use urban environment that includes residential, office, hotels and retail spaces, and educational spaces from preschool through graduation at the new downtown campus for UCF.
