VHB Continues to Build Transportation Practice in the Northeast

Three strategic new hires will bolster transportation experience in VHB’s Northeast Region

VHB is pleased to welcome Addyson Lyons, Christine Lilholt, and Diego Cabezas to a growing transportation team in VHB’s Northeast Region. As the needs of our clients across New York State and the surrounding area grow, and projects become more complex, VHB’s growing transportation team will bring innovative solutions and new perspectives to state, federal, and private projects.

Addyson Lyons

As Senior Project Engineer, Addyson Lyons, PE, will produce and deliver transportation projects from study through the construction administration phase, leveraging her extensive knowledge of highways to manage the development of technical design and specification documents. Prior to joining VHB, Addyson partnered with a broad range of clients, including private businesses, local municipalities, New York State counties, and New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT). Addyson has experience as a highway engineer and has overseen a myriad of transportation project types, including pavement rehabilitation and bridge replacement projects, utilizing federal, state, and client-specific standards.

Addyson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York. Addyson is an active member of the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), New York State Association of Transportation Engineers (NYSATE), the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) where she is a Director, and a committee member/Logistics Coordinator for the annual Capital District Future City Competition, which benefits 30+ schools across the New York State Capital Region engaging in STEM academics.

Chris Lilholt

As Project Manager, Chris Lilholt, PE, PTOE, will partner with clients to develop solutions and successful project outcomes. Chris’s 28 years of experience includes leading and managing traffic impact analyses, transportation master plans, corridor studies, intermodal facility planning and design, and circulation studies. Her work for federal, state, regional, and local agencies, as well as institutions and private developers across the region will add valuable insight to our transportation practice.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Clarkson University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York, Massachusetts, Florida, Georgia, and Virginia. Chris obtained her Professional Traffic Operations Engineer Certification and is an active member in the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE).

Diego Cabezas

Diego Cabezas is a detail-oriented, proactive design professional who brings significant experience working with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology. As Traffic Designer, Diego will be responsible for supporting the transportation team with urban and suburban transportation planning, simulation modeling, data management, and spatial analysis, as well as drafting and map production. Diego’s experience working for various New York City agencies, including the Department of Transportation and City Planning, and will help guide our team in the production of comprehensive materials for our clients.

Diego holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sustainable Urban Environments from New York University’s Tandon School of Engineering.
